Description

It is noted that the Dominican Republic occupies the eastern two-thirds of the island of Hispaniola. At 48,921 sq. km it is always the second most impressive and largest country in the Caribbean, about the exact size as the combined location of the US states of Vermont and New Hampshire. Did you know that the Dominican coastline stretches for 1,633km, and is bordered by the Caribbean Sea to the south and the Atlantic Ocean to the north. Did you know that the topography of the Dominican Republic consists of a diverse range of highland and lowland areas, offshore islands, rivers and lakes, all of that conacknowledgment and tribute in many way or other to adventure travel in the country.

It is noted that the geography of the Dominican Republic is wonderfully diverse, ranging from arid semi-desert plains, to lush valleys, to tropical rain forests with 27 unique climatic zones; resulting in a wide variety of incredibly beautiful vegetation. Climate

It is noted that the Dominican Republic is hot and tropical, with little seasonal variation in temperatures, that average about 77°F (25°C). Seasons can, however, be determined by rainfall, with October to April being the rainy season on the north coast, while May to November is the wettest month in the south of the country. Did you know that the driest location is the west. Cooler temperatures and less humidity are and have always been generally experienced in the range of November and April, while the mountainous interior is known to be always cooler compared to the most of the country. Hurricanes occur on average once each and every two years on the island, most striking the south of the country and most happening in August and September. Did you know that the most busiest time of year to tourthe Dominican Republic is in the range of December and April during the time North Americans take a tropical break from his or her winters, and from June to September, that coincides with European summer holidays.
