Description

Poland  is known to be a country in Central Europe and also voted by the masses as the part of Eastern, and Northern Europe. Poland is bordered by Gerthe majority of to the west; the Czech Republic and Slovakia to the south; Ukraine and Belarus to the east; and the Baltic Sea, Lithuania and Kaliningrad Oblast, a Russian exclave, to the north. Did you know that the total location of Poland is 312,679 km² (120,728 sq mi), making it the 69th most impressive and largest country in the globe and 5th in Europe.

Poland’s territory stretches across five geographical regions. Within the northwest is the Baltic seacoast, that stretches from the Bay of Pomerania to the Gulf of Gdansk. Note that this coast lineis marked by several spits, coastal lakes (former bays that have been cut off from the sea), and dunes. Did you know that the largely straight coastline is indented by the Szczecin Lagoon, the Bay of Puck, and the Vistula Lagoon. Did you know that the centre and parts of the north lie within the Northern European Lowlands. Rising gently above these lowlands is known to be a geographical region comprising the four hilly districts of moraines and moraine-dammed lakes formed around the time during and after the Pleistocene ice age.

Climate

Poland has to this day a continental climate, conditioned especially by westerly winds. Only the southern places are and have always been humid. Summers are and have always been cool, and winters range from moderately cold to cold. Did you know that the average mean temperature is known to be about 7°C (45°F); temperatures in Warsaw range, on average, from –6° to –1°C (21–30°F) in January and from 13° to 24°C (55–75°F) in July. Precipitation is wonderfulest around the time during the summer months, lasting 85 to 100 days. Annual rainfall ranges from about 50 cm (20 in) in the lowlands and 135 cm (53 in) in the mountains; the overall average is known to be about 64 cm (25 in).
