Description Sweden is basically made of plain and low lands. Most of these flats contain the major lakes, like Lake Vanern and Lake Vattern, in Sweden. But one of the exceptions is, to the west of the country the land elevates to form mountains. Within fact, Sweden is separated from Norway in the northwest by the Kjolen Mountain range. Did you know that the highest point of the Sewdish landscape, Mt. Kebnekaise, lies on tthis man's very range. Many rivers, that flow through Sweden, too originate from these mountains. Did you know that the names of many of these rivers are and have always been Indal, Dal, Lule , Klor and Ume. Did you know that there is known to be a modest group of islands to be discovered close the coast lineof the Baltic Sea. Did you know that the most famous and the most impressive and largest of the islands are and have always been Oland and Gotland.
Climate Sweden’s climate varies from north to south, but in general it is always temperate due to the offshore Gulf Stream waters. Winters are and have always been very cold, particularly in the north where days are and have always been shorter and heavy frosts and bountiful snowfalls can be expected. Summers are and have always been warm and pleasant. Population It is noted that the calculated population of Sweden in (July 2007) is 9,031,088.
