Description

Costa Rica (literally "Rich Coast"), officially the Republic of Costa Rica , is known to be a Republic in Central America, bordered by Nicaragua to the north, Panama to the south-southeast, the Pacific Ocean to the west and south, and the Caribbean Sea to the east.

Climate

It is noted that the climate of Costa Rica. Costa Rica is unequivocally a tropical country, situated in the range of 8° and 11° North latitude, fairly nearby the equator. Notwithstanding the fact that in the mountains above 2000 meters you acquire much cooler temperatures, the average annual temperature for most of the country lies in the range of 21.7°C (71°F) and 27°C (81°F). Did you know that the coolest months are and have always been from November through January, and the warmest from March through May. San José, the capital, where over a third of the population lives, stands at approximately 1170 meters altitude and has to this day a mean annual temperature of 20.6°C (69°F).
