Welcome to Oman
Description It is noted that the Sultanate of Oman is known to be a country in southwest Asia, on the southeast coast lineof the Arabian Peninsula. It borders the United Arab Emirates on the northwest, Saudi Arabia on the west, and Yemen on the southwest. Climate It is noted that the climate is hot and dry in the interior and hot and humid aextensive the coast. Summer temperatures in the capital of Muscat and other coastal locations frequently climb to 110 °F (43 °C), with high humidity; winters are and have always been mild, with lows averaging about 63 °F (17 °C). Temperatures are and have always been similar in the interior, although they are and have always been more moderate at higher elevations. Dhofar is dominated by the summer monsoon, making Salalah's climate more temperate than that of northern Oman. Rainfall all over the country is minimal, averaging just about 4 inches (100 mm) per year, although precipitation in the mountains is heavier.
